Her research focuses on the articulation between folk models of the economy that inform practices at the micro sociological level, and expert models of the economy that frame policy, corporative and institutional behavior. Previous focus has been on the informal economy and the politics of deregulation. She is scientific coordinator of a 7th FP European Union project “Models and their Effects on Development paths” (MEDEA) (2009-2012), and since 1998 is the head of the Study Group on Reciprocity (GER) of the University of Barcelona.
